Summer is a time to enjoy the outdoors and spend time with friends and family, but all of this can take its toll on your body. You’re more than likely feeling sore from all those long bike rides, canoeing, gardening, and other activities you’ve been doing. We know you’ve likely been active BEYOND your typical training schedule! Fortunately, we offer therapeutic massage therapy that benefits your whole body. Here’s how this very unique therapy can help you heal.
Non-training Injuries
It never fails. You’re in the midst of training for an event or perhaps in your off-season, and notice the weather is just too gorgeous to pass up for an evening run. And that is the moment that you injure yourself. Or, maybe you were doing some yard work, and unexpectedly you pulled a muscle. Don’t worry – we’ve heard this before.
Therapeutic massage can help with a lot of non-training injuries, such as tendonitis or arthritis, or the cause behind these types of non-training injuries. It can also help with chronic pain and muscle spasms that may be the result of posture problems at work or sitting in your car for hours on end.
Despite how the injury occurred, taking an intentional approach to healing it will make the difference. Our Rupp Massage team is focused on helping you to recover from injuries and can accelerate healing and speed your recovery. We know you want to simply get back to being “you” and can offer a variety of treatments to help you do so.
Pre-Event Support
One of the best support options for an injury is preventing it in the first place! If you’re in preparation for a marathon this summer, therapeutic massage may be a perfect item on your pre-run checklist.
Not sure of what type of massage would benefit you? Just communicate with us. As a graduate of Indiana College of Sports & Medical Massage (ICSMM) in Carmel, IN and certification by the State of Indiana and a proud member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), Tracy Rupp will tailor a unique plan for you to enhance your performance and address your specific issues.
Post-Event Support
Pain after an event? It’s not uncommon. But it doesn’t have to be something you live with.
The benefits of therapeutic massage are endless – muscle tension reduction, improved flexibility, and increased circulation, and ultimately, prevention of future issues that you may encounter as a result of the high-level training you are participating in. Therapeutic massage is not a “spa massage” (while there are many benefits to that, as well), but rather a prescribed approach and treatment plan for muscle health and recovery. Our goal is to help you perform at your top levels and provide results to you,
Joint Swelling
Higher humidity and soaring temperatures can have a negative effect on the body, both in causing joint swelling and tender muscles and ligaments. When we focus on your recovery, we will strive to reduce inflammation and increase circulation. The underlying issues behind swelling and pain need to be addressed to truly assess how you can benefit from therapeutic massage. However, one thing is for certain – the lack of flexibility or movement will only compound, so a trained and systematic approach to dealing with pain is crucial to keeping the cycle of a sedentary lifestyle off the horizon. We’re here to help you – as we understand the importance of range of motion and how it relates to living your best life.
Why Choose Rupp Massage?
Therapeutic massage is an effective treatment for muscle soreness, injury recovery, and stress. One of the most common misconceptions about therapeutic massage is that it’s just a luxury or something people do when they have extra time on their hands. That couldn’t be further from the truth! If you’re not sure how therapeutic massages could help your life improve in many different ways – make an appointment today so we can show you why this type of care can make a difference in your life.
