Summer has kicked into full gear and so have the excuses to not stay active and exercise. You don’t have time, it’s too hot outside, there are too many nightly and weekend commitments, you’ll do it tomorrow…..you get the idea.
But if you want to see real results, it’s time to put in the work now.
It’s not always easy getting motivated to set yourself up to succeed and achieve your health goals, but at RuppMassage, we want to help you every step of the way. Here are our “6 C’s to Success” that we live by and are sharing with you to help make your fitness journey as seamless as possible:
1. Commitment
The most important “C” of all is commitment. You must be committed to your goals in order to achieve them. This means setting realistic expectations and making a plan to stick to them. If you’re not fully committed, it’ll be very difficult to see results.
Make your plan for what you want to achieve and set up milestones along the way to keep you on track. Write it down and put it in a place where you will see it every day as a reminder.
As part of your plan, be as committed to regular sports recovery massage as you are to your sport. Massage can be an important piece of the puzzle for anyone looking to improve their athletic performance or achieve their fitness goals.

Create a vision for what you want to achieve, and write it down, placing it where you can see it every day.
2) Consistency
Next, keep consistency in mind. Cultivate habits that support your vision. Commit to your vision and take action.
How can you do this?
- Remove non-healthy foods from your diet – eat CLEAN
- Embrace each day with a moment of meditation, prayer or motivation
- Journal your successes and reflections
- Remove distractions, i.e. social media, excessive TV
- Do the workout
- Schedule routine sports recovery massage
When you’re consistent in these habits, you’ll retrain your mind to focus on your goals and how to achieve them.
3) Challenge
Take the CHALLENGE, as other clients of ours have in pairing workings and sports recovery massage. Even when you’re not in pain, recovery massage can help improve your range of motion, flexibility, and prevent injuries. If you are in pain, our licensed therapist can work with you to find the source of your pain and provide relief.
When your body is in its healthiest state, you’re able to more fully, and competitively, engage in your chosen activity.
4) Celebrate
Committing to competition and new challenges is a great way to stay motivated on your fitness journey. But, don’t forget to celebrate your successes along the way!
Breaking through plateaus and reaching new levels of fitness can be difficult, so be sure to give yourself credit for every accomplishment – no matter how small.
Some fun & healthy ways to celebrate include:
- Try a new restaurant
- Splurge on a new essential oil
- Try a cupping therapy session
- Take time to watch the sunrise/sunset pre or post workout
- Check out a new fitness class, such as aerial yoga, trampoline or Latin dancing!
- Gift yourself new workout wear
5) Connection
This “C” is connection, and it’s an important one. Why? Because we are social creatures! We need the support of others to help us stay on track with our goals.
Connection can come in many forms:
- Find a workout buddy or group
- Surround yourself with equally minded athletes
- Connect with us at RuppMassage to ensure you’re communicating your goals and fitness aspirations
When you connect, you create accountability for yourself and others. This will help you stay focused on your goals and achieve them!
6.Continue to climb to the height of fitness
One doesn’t climb Mount Everest in a day….
…and it takes time to reach your fitness goals.
So, if you find yourself at the base of your “fitness mountain”, don’t get discouraged. Just take it one step at a time and enjoy the view from each new level you reach.
