Your body is always in motion; it never stops. It’s constantly looking for equilibrium, which is why you may experience discomfort when your muscles are tight or your bones don’t move as they should. Your body needs to be properly aligned and balanced so that it can function at its best.

Your joints need the right amount of mobility to do their job well, and if they aren’t able to glide smoothly then they will wear down more quickly than expected, causing discomfort in the process.  Without proper joint health, even minor daily activities like walking up stairs, sitting at a desk or typing on a computer keyboard can become painful experiences—which means you might not be living life to the fullest!

That’s why RuppMassage offers therapeutic massage: to help people enjoy the activities they are passionate about, free from pain and discomfort. Our goal is to give you the opportunity to enjoy your life and live it with vigor, all while we help you maintain your physical health, peace of mind, and wellness. We’ve operated in the Indianapolis area, serving professional and amateur athletes, as well as people who seek pain relief.

Massage is so much more than aromatherapy, relaxation, stress relief, facials, or esthetic services. While those elements are enjoyable, beneficial and a part of the classification of massage services, our certified massage therapists seek to go beyond creating a relaxing, stress-free environment and additionally bring scientific therapeutics to our clients during each session. Our facility offers a professional and medical ambiance, and our massage therapist, Tracy Rupp, brings massage therapy to an entirely different level.

Rupp Massage offers professional massage therapy, but did you know we also offer many types of therapy that go beyond the ones that are simply relaxing, including hot stone, deep tissue massage, essential oils and CBD, oxygen bar, injury recovery and cupping services in our Indianapolis area?

We are believers in overall bodywork, to keep your body moving. Here are a few ways each of these services combined with our therapeutic massage service can help you fully live, “The Good Life”!

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone massage is a service that uses the heat energy from the stones to massage out tight muscles. The heat also creates an environment where your body can relax deeply. This type of massage is great for people who are sore, tense, or have chronic aches and pains because it will help relieve your discomfort while improving your range of motion.

The stones are typically heated up prior to being used in massage. The hot stone can be used wonderfully on the back, neck, shoulders, feet, hands, hips or any other area on the body that needs relaxation or more mobility.

Deep Tissue Massage Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage Therapy involves a therapist applying deep pressure to the muscles. Deep tissue massage can be a solution for people who need therapeutic pain relief from chronic pain, back pain,  injuries or tight knotted areas in their body. The deep pressure will create a change in tension and release of muscle spasms caused by adhesions, which result from soft tissue inflammation.

A Deep Tissue Massage may include techniques which help increase blood flow to the tissues, which supplies oxygen and nutrients to help speed up healing and keep your muscles healthy. Trigger point therapy may be combined with deep tissue massage to help achieve optimum results.

Some people confuse deep tissue massage with Swedish Massage, however, the techniques, pressure used, and overall intention of massage are quite different between these two types of therapeutic massage.

While Swedish Massage can be enjoyable and promote relaxation and benefits for your overall well being, it may not provide the overall benefits to injury recovery that deep tissue massage does. Deep tissue massage is much more focused on the reasons behind the pain being experienced, and offers therapeutic benefits to many of our clients.

Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna

Our bodies take a lot of abuse, from poor nutrition, to pollution and even pesticides. Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna offers Far, Mid and Near healing rays. As these rays are felt on our skin, a warmth is felt and then as the body absorbs the rays, the body begins to detoxify. Many of our clients find that they sleep better, feel better, and recover from physical activity more quickly.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is a form of therapy where the therapist applies gentle suction to the skin using  a glass or bamboo cup. The pressure is released and the cup is lifted, which causes the skin to reattach and come with it.

This can be helpful for anyone who experiences pain in their muscles, back, neck, head, jaw, etc. This therapy stimulates bloodflow and lymphatic circulation which can help promote healing. It may provide relief from chronic pain caused by muscle tension and inflammation as well as relieving muscle spasms.

Oxygen Bar Therapy

Oxygen Bar Therapy provides 10 minutes of pure and 100% therapeutic oxygen. It releases the pressure and the tension in your muscles, which may help  you breathe easier and think more clearly. Oxygen Bar Therapy can also increase energy, improve sleep and decrease pain. After all, being free from environmental pollutants gives our body a break from our everyday bustle.

Essential Oils and CBD Oil Therapy

Essential Oils and CBD Oil Therapy use either Essential Oils or CBD Oil to soothe muscles, increase circulation and help achieve pain relief. These therapies can be beneficial for people who suffer from daily discomfort due to migraines, tension headaches, back spasms, stress symptoms, etc. Often, these therapies will be combined with another one of our services to achieve desired results. Some of our favorite essential oils include Eucalyptus, Copaiba, Lavender and unique blends of oils specifically used to target pain and speed recovery.

Injury Recovery Therapy

Injury Recovery Therapy is a service  designed specifically for injuries including chronic pain conditions brought on by arthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia, etc. This type of massage helps break up scar tissue adhesions in order to restore normal motion in the area where you are experiencing discomfort. The aim is to improve range-of-motion which will reduce stiffness & inflammation—which means less pain! Typically each session lasts between 30-45 minutes, and may combine multiple types of massage techniques.

How Do I Know Which Therapeutic Massage Therapist is Right for Me?

There is so much information, and sadly – MIS-information, on the internet about pain & injury. If you have been experiencing discomfort, it’s important to consult a licensed massage therapist in order to know what services will benefit your specific type of pain or injury. You may have tried other alternative therapies,  such as chiropractors, and not achieved the results you are looking for. Or maybe you had high hopes in a local spa treatment, but it just didn’t provide the deep tissue benefits you were seeking.

Tracy Rupp is not only certified, but also well-informed and can work with you as an individual so that you are able to get on the path toward recovery & wellness! He will be able to walk through the benefits of massage and the other types of services offered, and help in determining a course of action for your massage sessions.

Rupp Massage is located at their convenient Indianapolis area location here. While we do work with professional athletes, we also have a special heart in our business for amateur athletes and people who are simply trying to live their best lives and improve their overall well being.

Why is RuppMassage the Best Massage Therapist in Indianapolis? Here’s what some of our clients say!

I have been going to RuppMassage for a little over two months. I came to Tracy with a lot of pain in back area and a few other minor ailments. He took time to listen to me and really identify the areas to work on. Very knowledgeable and has a lot of different therapy methods at his disposal. I can say 60 days in, I feel so much better. I have had many massages over the years, but this is a different/better experience. Truly appreciative of the work he does.

-Jay P

Tracy at RuppMassage is thoughtful and deliberate in his approach to massage to maximize healing and recovery. He takes extra time before and after an appointment to make sure he’s covering your needs and you always get every single SECOND of what you pay for! Going regularly does wonders for staying in shape and feeling great!

-Amy L

Absolutely the best massage I have ever experienced.  Tracy is very experienced, customer-focused, and provides multiple modalities of massage during the session. I have received cupping, and hot stones, integrated with the more traditional massage techniques.

The office setup and massage room is very conducive to relaxation and peace.

I have been amazed that after having experiencing extreme pain and spasms in my hips & lower back, from a week vacation at a dude ranch,  Tracy was able to ease my discomfort. After a two to three sessions, I am beginning to feel significant relief.

If you are looking for a relaxing, spa-type massage, this is not the place.  Rupp Massage is geared to a deeper, more intense therapy that is focused on improved body functioning and maintenance of good health, in conjunction with other methods of holistic health focus.

Thankful for such an intense, invigorating massage.

-Mary R.

I pulled my lower back which sent pain down my leg like someone was stabbing me. It was so much better after Tracy worked on it. He is so knowledgeable and skilled. A total pro.

-Sandra M.

Tracy is an excellent massage therapist. I highly recommend him.

-Brett B.

Best massage therapy I have found in indy

-Lucky P.

This is NOT your typical massage.  This is a life changing, pain relieving, very educated massage therapist that really cares about his clients and relieving pain and stress.  He knows every muscle and bone in your body and knows what essential oils can do to help your muscles. If you’re a runner or not I honestly recommend you go and try him. I think you would see the difference in a regular massage and what Tracy does.

-Angela W.

Tracy is GREAT!  He’s very knowledgeable and provided good advice to help with my issues.  This was the best massage I have ever had; I feel so much relief from my tight/tense muscles.  He got spots of great tension that no one has ever reached before (even in a deep tissue massage).  I’ll be going back for sure and will be sending my husband as well.  Thank you, Tracy; I feel much better after seeing you!
